Andre (21-0) is scheduled to fight Allan Green (29-1)
in Oakland CA on 4/24/2010. Nice, again we have a fight in
"our" hometown of Oakland! We will be there for ringside
coverage as the fight unfolds.

Andre takes down Kessler for
win. 11th Round TD. Arena crowd went wild - over 10k here
tonight. All three judges favored Ward.
We stayed around for the press conference. Tons of media,
lots of questions for both sides. Nice celeb turnout mostly
from the sporting world including Hershel Walker, Monta
Ellis and former Oakland Raiders. Nice comments from Andre,
Virgil and Dan Goosen.
1st time in 42 years a championship fight held in Oakland.

Afterwards: Kessler looked like he
just got in a fight. Ward just looked like he came back from
an evening jog.
Next fight for Andre rumored to be sometime in March 2010.

Thoughts: Despite his Olympic gold, when Andre started his
career it was hard to find any news or articles about his
fights, anywhere. When we started this fan site the only
news about Andre Ward was about the musician who shares the
same name. Today if you do a search online Andre is
"everywhere"!

Andre (20-0) defeats Shelby Pudwill (22-4-1) at the
Pechange Resort & Casino in Temecula California to take his
record to a sweet unblemished 20-0. The fight did not last
long, resulting in a TKO in the 3rd round. Look for the next
big fight in Oakland or San Jose California in November
against Denmark's Mikkel Kessler (42-1). We will certainly
be at that fight.

Andre (19-0) has defeated Edison Miranda (32-4) after
12 rounds with two of the judges voting 119-109 and the
other judge giving a 116-112 in Andre's favor. This was a
hard fought fight for both men with Edison proving a
formidable opponent.
In only the first round Andre took a head butt over his left
eye that left blood dripping down for much of the first
round until his "cut man" stopped the flow in time for the
start of the second round. At one point Andre fell to the
mat, not because of Miranda.
The crowd was heavily pro Andre and chants of SOG and Andre
filled the Oracle arena at times. Ending the 12th round,
Andre raised his fist in anticipation of the victory. With
this fight Andre has now boxed 100+ rounds as a
professional.
Several Oakland notable athletes were in attendance and
happily filled the ring before the fight including former
Oakland Athletic Ricky Henderson (dressed to the nines),
Monta Ellis of the Warriors and
JaMarcus Russell of the Raiders.

Andre (17-0) knocks out Esteban Camou (23-5) by TKO in
the 3rd round. This was Andre's
first fight following his knee surgery this past summer. It
was a win made in convincing fashion; Andre landed 78
punches - Esteban only 12. The last 7
fights taken by Andre in TKO fashion!

Andre is set to fight as a super middleweight on
December 13, 2008 at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in
Cabazon (Southern California). His opponent is Esteban Camou

In early August Andre recently had fairly minor arthroscopic
surgery on his right knee. Look for Andre to resume training
sometime towards the middle of October 2008. Perhaps a fight
will be scheduled for late in 2008 but more realistically in
early 2009. We wish him a speedy recovery!

Boxing can be pretty when your guy is in the groove, as
is Andre. Fellow Olympian (2000 Olympics, Domican team) was
no match for Andre's power. The Cayman Islands were scene to
yet another TKO by Andre Ward, his 6th in a row and 11th
overall - raising his record to a sterling undefeated 16-0.
This time it came in the 8th round quickly dropping Ravelo
face down to the canvas. He never recovered and the fight
was stopped. The win clinched the
NABO
title for Andre (North American Boxing Organization). Stay

Tonight Andre Ward dominated his very formidable
opponent Rubin "Mr. Hollywood" Williams at Fight Night at
the Tank in San Jose California. Rubin came into the fight
with a record of 29-3 and left the fight 29-4. The late
fight didn't start until 10:40pm - crazy! A raucous crowd
sensing another defeat, this time over a very formidable
opponent was loudly cheering by the 4th round when Andre
delivered a stiff uppercut. The fight was stopped in the 7th
round so the referee could have the doctor check out out
Rubin's cut. At this point it was decided Andre was the
winner - taking his sparkling record to 15-0!

California. Andre will be fighting Rubin Williams 29 (16) - 3
(2) - 1 at the HP Pavillion, the site of some of his
previous wins.

Andre Ward defeats previously undefeated Roger Cantrell
by TKO in round 5 of 10 at the Beausejour Cricket Ground in
Saint Lucia. Ward took down Cantrell with a violent series
of punches in round 5 and the fight was called a TKO with
Andre earning his 14th straight win. Heck of a way to start
a pro career so far eh?!

previously 16-1 Francisco Diaz. Only 3 rounds went by before
Andre stopped Francisco with a devastating blow at the Home
Depot Center in Carson, CA to record his 8th knockout.

Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino, Lemoore
Andre Ward took down his opponent Dhafir Smith at the
Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore in the Central Valley
(Kings County) to run his undefeated record to 12-0. This was a 6th round KO and was the 7th
professional knockout for Andre in his short career so far.
The fight had been scheduled for 8 rounds. A large packed
crowd of more than 2000 people watched the fight. Ward's
opponent Smith hung tough for the first few rounds before
Ward finally started to wear him down.

Andre Ward made quick work of his fight tonight by
stopping Julio Jean with a TKO with 2:04 left in the 3rd round.
Andre was
head butted by Julio and sustained his first cut in his 11
and 0 career. Ward felt strong and his poise in the ring
clearly showed over his opponent. Ward weighed in at 166 &
1/4 for this fight. The crowd at the Tank came to Fight
Night to see and support Andre. Out of all the cards on tab
for tonight, Andre Ward received by far the most support from the
crowd.

Andre Ward returned to the ring after a 7-month absence and
after 6 rounds defeated his opponent
Derrick
Findley to go 10-0 in his professional career.
Ward had torn a thumb ligament in his previous fight which
is why he was out of the ring so long.
Ward's promoter Dan Goosen has indicated that Andre Ward may
return to the ring in January of 2007. We hope its in Ward's
hometown of Oakland!
